Update error

I don't have an answer. You mentioned Ad-aware at one point, I think? Is
this the Pro version? Have you tried turning off its real-time protection?

I don't use Ad-Aware's real time protection - found it to be fairly
intrusive. I'm now going to re-install Defender after re-installing
Installer. Will keep you posted.

Well, that didn't work! Same old, same old. It was a move of desperation.
Any other ideas out there? Larry

One more attempt - I disabled Norton Internet security and re-installed
Defender. No luck! Same old error message.

I got same problem. Uninstalled my definitions and went to Win Update where
I was offered to install a new definition but the installation failed.
Successively, ther were no more definitions to installed and nothing changed
in WD.
