Update email for my registerd version of xp

I want to update my e-mail address so I can stay current
with my microsoft updates and the registration
information is correct. I cannot find any place to do
this on microsofts site except for endless loops and dead
ends. Why is it so difficult I dont know but I wanted to
see if anyone knew the link or proper way to do this.

The updates do not come to you, your computer goes for them.
Automatically or manually depending on your settings so there is
nothing to change here.
Unless you also get security bulletins:
http://www.microsoft.com/security/security_bulletins/decision.asp

There is no reason to update the Email address used during
registration.
