Update definition

I assume you are talking about the signature update here. Signature updates
must be done through the application.

The above article gives the names (and I think, the
location--the folder Microsoft Antispyware is installed
in.)

Shut down Microsoft Antispyware via right-clicking on the
system tray icon, and delete the files--they should have
the same date and time, and the names as shown in the KB
article.

See what happens.

Hmm - he did answer the question, but at least one report here seems to
indicate success by moving the files involved. Doesn't seem like it should
be that simple, though, and I haven't confirmed it myself.
