unwanted favorites and homepage

im not sure how i got it but somehow my homepage chaned
and favorites that i do not wish to have were added to my
computer. i was told this could be changed and deleted
but after my computer is restarted they all come back. Im
not sure if its a virus or spyware but i cant figure out
how to fix it. Please help.
