Trojan horse mess IE homepage & favorites

Appreciate your help!

My laptop is infected with a Trojan horse which changes
IE's homepage. Doesn't matter which page I chose as my
homepage, it always reset to this page "about:blank"
which has whole bunch of ads.

Another problem (not sure if this is the work of the same
horse) is my favorits list was resorted to a different
order.

All these are really the anoying dark side of Internet.
Can we do something about this?

Those are most likely spyware, not Trojan horse ;-)
they are mostly innovensive but VERY annoying!
heres what you can do...

do you have progrma such as:
ad-aware 6
cw shredder
spy bot search and destroy
highjack this
?
those shareware will mostly get rid of all the junk your
computer may "collect" on the internet

Hello! I'm having the same problem and trying like the
dickens to figure out how to get rid of this thing!

So far, I've tried two programs that are supposed to be
able to ID spyware and hijackers, and AdAware has
actually ID'd some registry files that are created by the
bad program, but I haven't been able to ID the source
that's creating them yet. Even if I get rid of the bad
registry files, every time I launch IE, they reappear.

Does anyone out there know what might be creating this
problem? Thanks in advance for any help you can give us
in getting rid of this yucky thing!
