Dear All,

I run a medium sized company and would like to know
something

After getting my IT guy to update my computer (Windows
2000 SP4) with a few of the last updates. When I switch my
computer off I receive a message 'Your computer is now
safe to switch off'

How can I get rid of this message?

You can't get rid of that message. Get your IT guy back in to take a look at
it. For some reason Windows 2000 suddenly thinks your computer is not ACPI
compliant. Either that or it's running an incorrect Hardware Abstraction
Layer. Either way, your IT guy needs to resolve the issue for you.
