Unwanted Advice Balloons

I may be being a little over sensitive, but the advisory notices when I rest
the cursor over a shortcut icon on my quick-launch toolbar really irritate
me. For example, I know the icon for Windows Mail "Sends and receives
e-mails...." and don't really want to be told every time I touch it.

Does anyone know how I can prevent these, or at least re-write them to
something simple, like "Mail"?

TIA

Ed

Right click the shortcut, and click properties. In the shortcut tab, go to
Comment and edit what is in the text box next to it. i.e. If you put "Mail",
when you mouseover it, it will display "Mail".
