HMS Surprise

Greetings,

I cannot look at the C drive via "My Computer". I click Start, then My
Computer, and then double click the C drive. At this point the
following message appears.

Windows cannot find 'Install.htm'. ...

I can access CD, thumb drive, shared docs, etc. I have a short cut to a
sub directory that works until I move up to My Computer level. Search
can access C drive OK. Tried rebooting.

Ideas?

Thanks,

jh

Right click on the C drive and select Open or Explore. Look in the root of
C for a file called autorun.inf. Delete the file.

Thanks Tom.

Did that and had to reboot to make it go. I suppose that file got
stored in C root level accidentally.
