Local drives not opening in My Computer

I have a user that suddenly has an odd problem. When she open My Computer
and double-clicks either of her local drives, she gets the "Open with"
prompt. She doesn't get this with the network drives.

I can use Explorer and expand My Computer on the left half of the pane and
get to the C: and D: drives that way, but again, if I just highlight My
Computer on the left and try to double-click those drives, I get the same
prompt.

Any insights?

Hi Michael,

Could be the presence of an autorun.inf in the root folder, which could
be a virus. Google search
"my computer" open with local drives

and see if that's what your problem is.
