Good day,

I've had a Gateway system for nearly 2 1/2 years and have been struggling
with it nearly for quite some time. It has two 250GB hard drives Initially
configured as RAID 1.

I initially purchased it with XP Home editiion and quickly learned that I
required XP Pro as I require IIS installed on my system for web developement.
I purchased the update software and it has been an intermitant struggle ever
since.

It seems something always eventually gets corupt or otherwise gets twitchy.
Gateway has by this point now replaced both HD's and I've installed the
second just 2 weeks ago. In an effort to eliminate possibilities I've
previously configured the system as RAID 0...No dice. Still problems.

With the installation of the latest hard drive I also decided to purchase
the full version of XP Pro as opposed to installing the XP Home that came
with the computer and then installing the upgrade trying to eliminate a
less-than-successfull upgrade.

The system is already suggesting a CHKDSK up "most" system start ups. This
is how all my other system crashes or corruptions have started. Recent
entries in the Event viewer are:

Any help would be GREATLY received as I'd just like to have a reliable
computer I can get productive with.

Thanks,
