unused icons in other user areas

I am administrator on computer with several other people that have access to
computer. I have given them their own user account areas, but there are a
lot of icons on the desktop that do not pertain to them. When I try to
delete them from their desktop, I get the notice that it can not be done. I
run many programs that they have no business in looking at, but I can not
delete the icons from their desktop. Any info on how to do this would be
appreciated. Thank you.

Have your run your anti-virus lately (if you have one, and it is updated to the newest virus definitions of course) and a good spyware program, i.e Adaware, Spybot Search and Destroy?

If you haven't, google for free AVs and Adaware or Spybot, download them, install, then update them to their latest, and run away with them on your PC. If you don't want to install an AV, there are decent free web based virus scanners that work fairly well; Trend Micro and Panda Anti-Virus come to mind.
