Desktop icon

Hi,

I just noticed my desktop icon wasn't in the Quick Launch area. I then
noticed the icon appeared on my desktop. How do I get the icon back into
the original location as if I try to move that icon, when I then select the
shorcut in the quick launch area, it wants to know the location. I have
stored this icon to my own folder for the meantime.

I want to just click on the desktop icon, but not have to keep the icon in
my own folder, just in case I delete this by accident.

Thanks

How to Re-create the Show Desktop Icon on Quick Launch Toolbar:

Else if you have the icon you can right click and drag it to the quick
launch.

Hi,

Thanks for this. In the end, I moved the icon I had saved into the:

C:\WINDOWS\system32\config\systemprofile\Application Data\Microsoft\Internet
Explorer directory.

I did not have a Quick Launch folder, so created this and moved the icon
into this and copied the shortcut to my Quick Launch area.

I do not have OE and IE options in the Quick Launch folder-how can I get
those back, even though these icons do show in the Quick Launch area and
work ok. I just wanted to do this so everything was in place ok.

Thanks

Greg.

You can just drag stuff down there. I do it all the time. <g> Right click >
drag > create shortcut here.
