Unspecified Error

Does anyone know why, when I use my profile on any PC with Excel 2003, I get
an error Unable to Open connection. Unspecified error. What I am attempting
to do is to import external data for datamining purposes. I select Data;
Import External Data; New Database Query; Then select the OLAP Cubes Tab. I
click OK and give the data source any name(test) I them go to step 2 and
select Microsoft OLE BD Provider for OLAP Services 8.0 I then select connect
and leave it to the default Analysis server. I type in the Server name and
make sure that I have a connection to the server by logging into the server.
The error I get is Unable to open connection. Unspecified error.
Now when I take the same PC and use the administrator profile, I do NOT get
this error. Yes you're thinking that its a profile error of permissions
error... but wait there's more.
I have a colleague log into his PC and try the same thing. He get in no
problems. I try from his PC and I cannot get the data source. I log in as
admin from his PC and again no problem. I have my collegue log in from my PC
and the error pops up.
We both go to a third PC. There the current owner can download the data no
problem, neither my profile nor my colleague can get the Excel OLAP cubes?
OK so revisit the problem.
1) My profile cannot get the OLAP cubes.
2) My colleague can get OLAP cubes from his PC. Not mine nor a third one.
3) admin works on all 3 PC's
4) the user for the third PC's profile works only on his PC.
I'm not sure where th problem is...however I have spent far too much time
investigating this error without result. I even went as far as reloading
Office 2003, and upgrading SP2 and updating MDAC, JET and DCom. Any other
suggestions?

1. have your admin create a new profile
2. verify the new profile works
3. use the new profile instead of the old one.
