unsafe removal of device when powering off printer

When I power off my HP Laser jet 2200D without stopping
the device first, I receive the error message: "Error on
device unplugged, USB printer - unsafe removal of device".
Is there a patch or some way to disable this warning??

1. Right click the green & gray USB device icon in the system tray (next to the clock
2. Click the device on the list that you want to stop (i.e. your printer
-- If that is your only USB device, that will be the only option on the lis
3. Click [OK] when the notification appears stating that "It is now safe to unplug or eject the device
4. Finally, turn off the printe
