Unreadable Text

I just recently upgraded to Microsoft Office Word 2003 from Microsoft Word 98. The text in some documents that I have saved to a disk including my resume now shows up as unreadable characters rather than text as shown below. Does anybody know a way to correct this? My resume document originally used Times New Roman font.

If you saved the documents directly from Word to floppy or CD, you're
probably out of luck. Saving directly to a removable medium is a sure-fire
way to corrupt a document, and it's usually unrecoverable.

Try opening the document with 'recover text from any file' selected in the
Files of Type list (and remember to switch back to 'Word Documents' for
other files you open!)
