I have an end user who is on office 2007. She is having an issue where people
recieving her emails cannot read them. Here is an example of what is recieved

***NOTE*** it is coming out as dots here, on my screen it is all small boxes
w/ question marks in them. I have also seen ither emails form this user that
like like hieroglyphics.

I have changed all of her email settings to plain text, but still have the
issue. The strange thing is, she is able to read all of the mail without
issue on her end.

Hss anyone come across this?

any help would REALLY be appreciated.

Thanks

I have a number of clients complaining of this issue, email looks normal when
typing the reply - then once sent appears in the sent box with either loads
of ??? or simplified chinese or hyroglyphs. The replies are to normal
contacts that normally they have no problem sending to.

The problem was reported to me on Friday and slowly more people our having
the problem outlook 2003 / 2007.

Anyone any suggestions please?

Thanks

The first time this happened after consistent use of email through Friday was
1555 hrs.. I have abandoned Outlook for the time being. I hope Microsoft is
reading this!

They're not. This is a peer-to-peer newsgroup, not a Microsoft support
channel.

Have you checked your encoding settings?

I have found "Auto select encoding for outgoing messages" in "International
Options" and it was ticked. I have cleared it and fixed the problem. How
could it have been selected in the first place? Not be me, I didn't know it
was there.

This issue has not gone away. I checked my encoding settings and deselected
the default "Auto select encoding for outgoing messages" box in International
Options. This did work initially, but now Outlook is encoding outgoing
messages on a random basis. It does seem to affect complex (long) emails only
so I am copying all emails before I send them in case it happens and then
sending them again from Hotmail.

Can you help please?

Regards,

David Swayne
