Unread Email number on User Icon

When starting my computer, I get the screen with the Users listed.
Next to the ICON is the name of the user.
Under the user name is listed the number of unread emails.
Is there a way to get rid of that listing?
Problem I'm having is that I've changed Internet Providers. I removed the
old email setup in Outlook Express for my previous IP.
I did so without removing the emails.
Now, I cannot get that list back, but the number of unread emails from that
IP is still listed when I startup.
It's annoying more than anything, but I'd like to get rid of that if I can.
