HI,

What kind of files could be unmovable in Drive C in XP Pro during Defrag?
My virtual memory is currently located on another drive. I find that these
unmovable files in 2 big chunks on the Defrag screen. Is this normal?

Any inputs please?

thanks

Yes, quite normal. Nothing to worry about at all.

Detlev, I did try the Pagedefrg but nothing happens in that. I executed the
program, selected Defrag on next boot, rebooted the system. System booted
as usual and nothing more happened. Wonder if i missed something.

I saw some command lines on the website, but there are no instructions on
where to give those commands.

Well, that program shows the fragments of particular system files when
starting. If there are files with more than 1 fragment and when selecting
"Defrag at next reboot", a blue colored screen should appear right after
reboot while the program defrags these files prior to starting the GUI.
