I have the following message: STOP: 0x000000ED (Ox81FDAE30, OxC000009C,
Ox00000000, Ox00000000). Like Sallys message on 17.06.04 I have tried all
the options to start in safe mode, etc but cant get passed blue screen. I
have read all the messages and looked at the sites suggested (which I dont
understand). I do not know what the recovery console is or how to access it
and I do not have the Windows disk as this came pre-loaded. I would really
appreciate any help (preferrably in plain English as I am not a computer
wiz). The computer was working fine but the next time I switched it on it
wouldnt start. I have tried starting it with my Norton disk, which ran a
virus check which took 5hrs, but it came up with nothing. Help....please.
Thanks.

Given your level of experience and comfort with the technical aspects of
this, it migh tbe best if you take your computer to a competent local
computer shop, not a best by or comp usa, and have them fix it. Just
check to make sure you don't have a floppy disk in the floppy drive.
