Anybody Have any idea what a unmontable_boot_volume is?
And how to get rid of it. when the machine starts this
appears, whether I try to get into safe mode or any other
mode.

Please Help!

Is this a new install, ie never before on this computer?
Do you have a round cable connecting your hard drive to
the motherboard? I had this problem and when I put a
flat type of cable back it worked fine. Worth a try
maybe.

Very good! I discovered it was caused by a corrupt boot
sector. Ran Windows's FIXBOOT form the CD and it's fixed!
