I´m receiving this message after an energy cut off, does anyone know how to
make windows xp run again after this? I´ve tried with all the safe modes,
the last working configuration too, but nothing works. Also tried with the
console´s commands FIXMBR and FIXBOOT, but didn´t work either.

Thanks

Fabian

Hi Fabian,

When you booted to the Recovery Console, did you run Chkdsk on the volume?

Microsoft Technical Support for Platforms and Business Applications

Fabian;
Power off
Desktop:...Open the case and reseat the hard drive IDE ribbon cable at
both ends.
Laptop:... simply remove and reinsert the hard drive.
If that fails:

Otherwise go to the website of the hard drive manufacturer and
download their hard drive diagnostics.

Do you have a hard drive overlay such as Max Blast?
Windows XP sometimes has issues with overlay software.
You may need to perform a Clean Installation without there overlay
software which is not needed anyway.
