unmountable Boot Volume

I have an HP notebook with XP Home on it. It went into
hibernation mode and then never came back out so I shut
it down now it does not boot and it flashe a blue screen
that says "Unmountable Boot Volume". I have tried to
boot from the original XP Home cd and from the XP Home
boot floppies and it won't work from either one. I am
very stumped, what should I try next?

Well a friend of mine just had that happen to his HP
desktop. We tried everything under the sun. Finally I
got some help from another message board and found out
that the desktop had a reset button inside it. Sure
enough there was and it restarted just fine. I'm not
sure if there is such a thing in a Notebook. I would
contact HP's website and check around for answers. If
anything else then call them.
