I transfered an hard drive from my old computer that
broke. Is there anyway to access folders that were
protected

i have a similar one.
i had a computer wth WinXP Home. it blew up so i got a new
one.
i also put my old hard drive into the new machine (so i
now have 2 drives).
the prob is that when i try to access the password-
protected admin-user account on the old drive, i
get 'access denied'. it doesn't prompt me for the password.

if you any ideas i'd be most grateful..

Look in the Help system for take ownership,
and then (in Home use a safe mode boot to)
follow the directions to take ownership and
then optionally set new NTFS permissions.
