Unknown file on w2k partitions

I have a flie on evey partion on every 2 k machine on my
network on every partition that is displayed with the
windows logo and the file name is "~" (tild). Does anyone
know what this file is for???

It's a bug in Outlook Express that creates it. It's a, uh, .wab (I think),
file. Just delete it and/or ignore it. Other people have more details on
this file, but it is harmless. Search through this group and/or OE groups
if you'd like to learn more about it. I can't remember the details.
