Tild File on hard drive

I've noticed on every hard drive partition ion my W2K pro
machines that there is a file with the windows logo and
the file name of " ~ " (tild). Ihave been trying to
determin the nature of this file and what its revelance is.


Any Insight would be appreciated

Never heard of that one before. It is not a file created by Windows. It
might be some type of tracking file created by a system utility that you
have installed. You can open up the file in something like Notepad to
see if you can determine what type of data it contains.
