Unknown error

Using Windows Mail I encounter a problem as follows:
There are two incoming mails which can't be opened. At the attempt I get the
message "Unknown error" (in fact in German "Unbekannter Fehler"). I can't
delete those mails either. Again I get the same error message. How could I
possibly at least delete those mails?

Sometimes if you mark them read then you can delete them. Otherwise ignore
them.

I have 6 of these stuck in my inbox. I can't move them to another folder or
delete them and they are all marked as read. Is there going to be a fix for
this soon????

I am not able to send, to delete one email (with more pictures) - what I
should do ?
Window mail does not send any email ! Only going in is working.

I did following steps:

1. click on Tools (In Windows Mail)
2. click on Options
3. click on Advanced tab
4. click on Maintenance button (bottom right)
5. check Empty messages from the 'Deleted Items' folder on exit
6. click Close & then OK to apply

then I marked a mail I would like to be deleted, closed the mail client,
re-opened it and the mail had disapeared.
I marked all the other mails in the folder "deleted" which produced this
kind of error message and it worked (deleted after re-starting Windows mail).

I ve got the same Problem. Did you find a way to solve it.

Assuming that your problem is also in the Inbox like the message you quoted:
If you are not willing to just ignore them, the only way is to delete both
copies of the database (which does not contain the messages, but only
references to them) and let WinMail rebuild it.
First close WinMail, then use Task Manager to make sure there are no
instances of it under applications or processes.
Then click Start | Search | Advanced Search
Check the box to include non-indexed, hidden and system files.
In the Name field type WindowsMail.MSMessageStore and click the Search
button.
It should show you two copies. Delete both of them and re-open WinMail.

I´ve got the same problem, and this solution was helpful.

I just had to close and restart Windows Mail several times, because it was
only *one* of the mails deleted, even if i had marked all the mails in the
deleted folder, but it worked at last. Thanks a lot!

Thanks. However, the mail was not deleted and the box market "unable to
access database" appeared.

What else I can do?

Thanks. I have upgraded to Windows Life. How can I transfer the mails in the
folders of incoming and outgoing mails to Windows Life?

Verify that you have Windows Live Mail version 12.0.1184.
It should have automatically imported all the emails you had in Windows Mail.
