My computer has recently been acting up. It restarts itself in the first
4-5 minutes whenever I first turn it on. One time after it restarted itself,
I received an error message/report from Microsoft informing me that
it had to be the cause of a newly installed software with different or old
and unmatching driver(s). But it didn't tell me which one so I am unsure of
what to do. It also gave me three ways I could do by myself to see if I can
set my computer back to normal functioning mode.
I already tried the System Restore option, and then I ran a Windows XP
update, but it doesn't do any good. The only symptoms I get is that my
computer self-restarts. Everything else, like all of the programs on my
computer work perfectly fine.
When the BSOD screen comes up, I get something about 0x0000008E..but I am
a novice at this so I really don't know what to do. If anyone knows how I
can fix this problem, please let me know. Thank you.
