Universal Group Caching

Tim Kalligonis

Does anyone have KB article(s) on Universal Group Caching and how it
functions? I haven't been able to find anything in KB, Technet, or Googling
it other than this statement.
"Universal Group Caching

You can eliminate the requirement to have a global catalog server present
during login by enabling Universal Group Caching. This is enabled at the
site level and applies to any clients that log on to domain controllers in
the site."

I would just like something to read to get a better understanding of it to
evaluate the need and if we should implement it, also how it would or would
not come into play with Universal Distribution Groups with Exchange 2003.

Thanks,

Tim
