Universal group caching

Sorry I don't find a Windows 2003 newsgroup !

I search information about Universal group caching. I understand how it work and when to use it. But I want to change the time of caching
(default 8 hours) ? And I search what append if in this time (8 hours) the site don't find a CG (The cache will be empty or it will continue with obsolate information) ...

First, cross posting to the 2k03 AD newsgroup to get more eyes on this.
So there are a few things here:
1) We don't "cache for 8 hours", we update the cache every 8 hours. By
default items in the cache are usable for 7 days unless you tweak that
interval.
2) If we don't get a good update in 8 hours, no worry, we try again later.
We continue to use what is in the cache until we can update it or the cache
expires, whatever happens first.
3) What's a "CG"? You mentioned a CG below. What does that stand for?

I think CG was a typo for GC.
