Uninstalling

I am unable to install new programs or uninstall MS
AntiSpyware. When I attempt to uninstall, the system
hangs and I have to end app. Please help! I do not want
to reimage my machine.
 
Does this also happen if you have shut down Microsoft Antispyware, by right
clicking on the system tray icon and choosing to shut down the application?

When you get this hang on the uninstall--how long have you let the machine
sit to see what will happen?

What happens when you attempt to install an application?

I don't think you will need to rebuild the machine--this should be fixable.
