Uninstalling XP

Loaded XP on an old PC. I would like to remove it, but I
have done EVERYTHING that I can find. Can't uninstal,
format or undo. Tried to reinstal Win98, but it said that
it's the wrong MS-DOS. The FAT32 is now NTFS and what I
have read that it's not easy to go back. I need step by
step HELP on how to clean the hard drive to load Win98
back.

once you have fdisked and formatted

if boot to dos and put in 98cd and change to that drive
letter and type setup.

if oem cd it may be bootable in which case boot to it and
follow the prompts.
