Uninstalling Windows XP

Windows XP is completely frozen on my computer. I was
told by a tech support office that my machine cannot
handle XP for long because it is not new enough. So I
just installed Windows 2000 on it, but Windows XP appears
to still be on there. I can go into it, but when I do,
it's the same deal...frozen. How can I uninstall XP in
this situation?

Hi,

Boot into the Win200 installation, openWindows Explorer and delete the WinXP
system folders. Then open boot.ini (a hidden system file on the root of the
boot partition) and remove the reference to the WinXP installation.
