Ok, I am running Win98, and want to upgrade to XP. I am
trying to uninstall 98 after having changed my drive to
FAT 32. I am using DOS commands as follows:
Smartdrv
C:
cd\ windows\command
uninstall.exe
When I try to enter the cd\win line, I get this:
too many perameters - windows\command

So I tried typing it without the space inbetween cd\ and
windows. That seems to work, but after typing
uninstal.exe, I get the bad command message.

So what am I doing wrong?

Thanks in advance

I guess I should mention that I am trying to uninstall 98
completely from DOS. I didn't present my problem very
clearly. Sorry

I believe you can not uninstall Windows 98 after converting to FAT 32.
However, if you still have the original Windows 98 installation CD,
following the "Clean install of XP", you can use the Win98 CD with the XP
Upgrade CD.

Y.
