Uninstalling program..

S

Sanjay

I have to uninstall a program which contains a file name
CSGina.dll. This is interfering with the user option of
windows. I cant switch to a multiple user setting as I
get the message to uninstall program which has the above
file. How do I locate which program has this file?
Thanks.

Sanjay,

This may be due to a networking software (Cisco VPN client or other) installed. It modifies the GinaDLL entry in registry and disables FUS and Welcome Screen. Use MVP Doug Knox's utility to fix the Welcome screen.

Fix Logon/Restore Welcome Screen:
http://www.dougknox.com/xp/scripts_desc/fix_xp_logon.htm
This should reset the default GINA in registry.

To set it manually, see the following KB article:
The Default Windows Logon Interface May Not Appear After Installing Third-Party Program
