I installed XP home on apc that already had Windows 2000, which I kept
installed. I would like to uninstall XP, but cannot figure out how. Is this
possible?

Interesting. Windows XP Home cannot be used to upgrade Windows NT 4.0
Workstation or Windows 2000 Professional. If you need to upgrade one of
these two OSes, you must use Windows XP Professional.

If you told the Windows XP setup program to save the old operating
system information you can look in the Control Panel Add/Remove Programs
and see if it's there to remove and revert to the previous operating
system. If it's not there you will have to format and reinstall Windows
2000 from scratch.

Hmmm. Yes now that you mention that I wonder too what is going on.

Presuming you put it on it's own partition, boot from Windows 2000 and
reformat the XP partition.

Note that in his first message, he says "Windows 2000, which I kept
installed." If that's correct, his second message saying he performed an
upgrade is obviously false.

The normal way to "uninstall" any operating system is to format the
hard drive and install a new OS of your choice.
