Uninstall Win XP Pro and install on different computer

D Carroll

I set up a dual boot system (Win 2K on one hard drive and
Win XP Pro on another). After the installation, I decided
that I really need XP Pro on a separate computer. (I have
a video editing program that will only run on Win XP Pro).

Questions:

How do I uninstall Win Xp Pro and restore my single boot
system on computer "A" ?

Will I be able to re-activate XP Pro when I install it on
the other computer?

Thanks in advance

Well you cant uninstall XP per se, you can delete the Windows directory that
it makes however. You Windows 2000 machine is going to need the 2k versions
of NTLDR, ntdetect.com and a good boot.ini to be able to boot normally after
you delete the old install.

You shouldnt have an issue reactivating XP on your new hardware.
