uninstall media player?

As much as I hate microsoft media player on Win XP, I
can't remove it completely from my pc. Can some one
please help me be rid of this horrible, horrible program?

I'm assuming you are refering to WMP9? The only way to uninstall it is to
use System Restore.

You can't. Grin and bear it. Why not use it - its better than RealPlayer
(not so much a resource hog) and has more options than WinAmp and QuickTime.

What exactly is your problem, perhaps someone can help ?
