Uninstall last Windows Update?

WinXP Media Center 2002 (SP2)

A Windows Security Update for Windows XP (KB925902) was automatically
installed and then immediately afterward I got the following popup error:

"RTHDCPL.EXE - Illegal System DLL Relocation
The system DLL user32.dll was relocated in memory. The application will not
run properly. The relocation occurred because the DLL
C:\WINDOWS\system32\HHCTRL.OCX occupied an address range reserved for
Windows system DLLs. The vendor supplying the DLL should be contacted for a
new DLL."

So I'd like to uninstall and reinstall KB925902. However, in Add/Remove
programs I don't see any of the numerous patches that were installed listed
there.

Click on Show Updates at the top right of the Add/Remove window. That
said, there's a fix for the fix out but I don't have the url handy. If
you go to the Windows Update newsgroup, the url is in a lot of posts. I
take it you're using a Realtek sound card ...

Check out KB935448. I had the same problem, and this one fixed it. I do
have the RealTek audio setup.

no need to uninstall anything just goto this linkhttp://support.microsoft.com/kb/935448/
it's a hotfix for the problem. fixes it right up

Hi newsgroup,

I had the same problem. But unfortunately before I found this
solution, I uninstalled the realtek software
and tried to reinstall it. The problem is, that the setup stops before
it is finished (without any error-message).

Even applying the patch 935448 shows no improvement.

Any suggestions?

Regards

CHRIS
