Uninstall Internet Explorer 6

I keep getting "cant open page" I think I should
uninstall and re-install. I couldnt find Inter.6 in the
install or remove programs. Help tells me that the
behavior is by design. they told me to remove windows 2000
service pack. I cant find it.
