Dell 720 printer quit working... has been working fine. New computer. Printer
is 3 years old, but not hooked up and used until received new computer 2
months ago. Downloaded vista printer driver from dell site. There are print
jobs in the queue. Have tried unplugging power and usb, shutting down
computer, replugging printer, and rebooting computer. No difference. Tried
reloading software. No difference. Tried deleting printer from control panel.
Says printer is "deleting", but it stays there anyway. Now trying to
uninstall the printer. Program gives me a message that printer is printing
and to wait to uninstall until after the print job is finished. but the
printer is not printing and is actually unplugged from power and usb. Help
anybody?

Click on the Vista 'Start' button, select 'RUN' and type in

cmd

In the CMD box, type

net stop spooler

Leave this box open, and go back to uninstalling and re-installing your
printer..

Now type

net start spooler

Your printer should work now..
