Dell Printer Problem

I have a Dell 720 printer installed onto my laptop. I am currently running
Windows Vista RC1 and cannot get my printer to work. Its installed and
everything but when I go to print something, my computer says it cannot
communicate with the printer. Should I reinstall the printer or try another
USB cable? Thanks

First, find out who the printer is made by, because if I remember correctly,
DELL outsources it's pronters, last I heard was Epson, I think, however, you
can find out for sure by looking at the label plate on the bottom of your
printer.
You can try installing the printer software, and see if Vista takes it, I
can tell you that it would not take my HP "All in one" But I was able to find
the drivers in the driver bin of Vista. I just looked, but there was no
driver in Vista for it. But if nothing else, replace the USB cable, and last
option, go to DELL and see if there is a driver update for Vista.
