On my Win XP Home notebook I tried to install a software called "e/" (an
italian software), but as soon as the install began a message appeared
stating that the software works only with Windows 2000 or XP Pro. Since I
needed that software I tried to force the install running the setup in
compatibility mode with Windows 2000 (I did it with Epson printer software
and it worked). Unfortunately, in this case it didn't work and the install
crashed. This setup also install Crystal Reports 9 (this crashed too).
Now on my notebook I have a folder called "e" under "C:\Program Files" with
some files inside, that is the program folder. Then I have a folder called
"Crystal Decisions" under "C:\Program Files\Common Files". Then I have the
following "programs" in the Control Panel - Add/Remove Programs list: "e/
Crystal Reports" and "e/Pre-installation". I tried to uninstall from there
but I get the same message that appeared when I tried to install, that is,
the software works only with Windows 2000 or XP Pro. I think there are also
many entries in the registry and there may be other files or folders
somewhere else. There is no program folder in the Start Menu, so I cannot try
to uninstall from there. How can I clean up everything? Please HELP!
Thanks,
