i had installed a shareware for trial. i need to now uninstall it but the
uninstall program just hangs in there with no progress. and while the
uninstall program is open, the net access ceases.

any inputs on how i could get rid of this shareware (called aid personal)?
i tried another freeware called Zsoft uninstaller but that didnt make any
difference.

Thanks in advance
Ramesh

System Restore is the frst thing to try.

Start>all programs>accessories>system tools>system restore

Thanks Anteaus.

did i check tht first. i dont have a restore point before the installation.
i had cleared it to create some disk space recently.

Hi,

You could try the fairly good uninstaller built into CCleaner. I've
used it to uninstall tag-a-long apps that I didn't even know other
apps installed.

( Not that it necessarily is related to the uninstall-hang but my
rule is ... ) Never ever install (nor uninstall) anything while
connected to the internet.
