Unidentified Update If Completed, Reboots Computer Repeatedly

When I start my system, approx. 3 minutes after boot, an unknown "update"
window pops up with a completion bar and a cancel button. It completes
really fast and, if I don't cancel the update, it will reboot only to do the
same thing over and over.
If I cancel the update the computer will run normally.
Where is this thing coming from??? It has no identifying words or logos...
I am running current Trend Micro anti virus and Spybot software, neither of
which seem to find any anomalies.

Sure sounds like virus/spyware. You might try HijackThis and see if any
unusual program calls are being made from the registry. As good as Trend
Micro and Spybot are no product spans the entire range of crap out there.

Go to Start/Run, and type MSCONFIG then look at the STARTUP TAB, to uncheck unwanted, checked items
