WINDOWS UPDATE SEEMS TO HAVE RENDERED MY COMPUTER UN-USEABLE..

S

Sheldon Scott.

Hello.

So I
installed the updates (Im pretty sure there was on;y 1 update and that was
for Microsoft Office 2007)...However I did not reboot my computer right after
the updates were completed...But when I did reboot my computer a couple hours
later it shut right off and I have not been able to power on my computer
since then...Im thinking this is a power issue and not a software
issue...Has this ever happened to anyone else? Any help would be greatly
appreciated...THANKS.

No lights, not even getting the POST messages?

Are the power supply and CPU fans operating?

If not then your power supply may have failed.

Be sure that no Windows update would effect the BIOS startup of any system.
You are going to have to find the cause of the power failure. Try to narrow
the problem down. See lights?, hear hard drive?, monitor flash at all? If
nothing at all, I would test the wall outlet for power.
