unidentified device driver

I have a persistent problem with windows attempting to install a phantom
driver on startup. It is a network device. If I ignore it task manager keeps
adding a new one.

Some details:

Hardware ID- *ISATAP

Status- Reinstall the drivers for this device. (Code 18)

To reinstall the drivers for this device, click Reinstall Driver.

Key- {4d36e972-e325-11ce-bfc1-08002be10318}\0011

I have run the programs Unidentified Device (no imformation) and Autoruns
(cleared all entries which seemed problematic ie: no files associated). Also
uninstalled programs which seemed may need updating (programs associated with
audio and gaming).

Would anyone know if this is associated with IE or something connected with
having not installed some updates? Havn't done the NET framework or latest
Vista update.

If someone could take the time to explain this I would appreciate it and it
would add to my own knowledge- why did this happen recently and what is the
root of the problem?
