I have been using Vista, 32 bit, with no problems for 6months + when 2 days
ago my video card gives out and I cannot get it working. I have tried
reinstalling the drivers, going to old drivers, patches, etc to no avail.
Anyone how has seen this or can hellp would be greatly appreicated.

"Gave out" in what respect? It obviously boots and runs Vista in order for
you to do what you've tried. You mean it's 3D ability has failed? Or it's
artifacting? What specifically?

The card has a yellow exclaimation point next to it and so no no amount of
uninstall, cleaning and reinstalling the drivers will get the card to work so
I am stuck in a VGA mode

nvlddmkm.sys driver error sufferer

These posts are in 2008 - There are 10s of thousands of people with the
nvlddmkm.sys driver error in Windows Vista. This is reminant of the nVidia
card (various models) and the same is happening with ATI Cards.

NOBODY (MS, nVidia, ATI) is offering ANY helpful patches or resolutions.

The error message of nvlddmkm Driver stopped responding and has recovered
keeps showing up.

I even found one site attempting a class-action suit against nVidia - but i
don't think it is the Video Card Company. I think that a Vista update is
incompatible with some Video Drivers and is causing this crash.

One would figure that by now this problem would be well-known and on its way
to being resolved.

I have been having this problem for over 3 weeks and after trying everything
in my little bag of tricks, I am going to give up on Windows Vista until a
responsible party at Microsoft can elaborate on the issue. The laptop pc is
just not functional with this error.
