computer seems to reboot any number of times during the day, wether on net of
not. Have many errors in event viewr under "system" in left pane. Dble
clicking an error brings up same message says "telephony service failed to
start because: either disabled or has no enabled devices associated w/it." I
use cable. The auto restart in ctrl panel> systems, etc is unchecked. All
dust blown out of inside. Any ideas what is causing this huge annoyance??
Thank you.

Hi,

If you are not using any telephony devices on your computer, you can
try disabling the Telephony service. To disable the service, follow
these steps:

1. Goto Start -> Run. Type "services.msc" (without the double quotes).
2. Scroll down to the 'Telephone' service.
3. Right click on the service and click 'Properties'.
4. Under the 'General' Tab, from the 'Startup Type' drop down box,
select 'Disabled'.
5. Click 'Apply', then 'OK'.

Thats it.

Hope this helps.
