I have a Dell Inspiron 5000e laptop with windows xp home
edition. For the last week my computer just shuts right
down right in the middle of anything im doing. I have ckd
my display settings, system restored twice and still will
shut right down. Any suggestions.
Thanks

Got to system properties/advanced/Startup and recovery and remove the check
mark for automaticrestart. You will get a blue screen with the error message.

If you see a mem dump, check your memory it may be going.

That is one of the major reasons of sudden restarts.

Does it feel warm? Is the fan running? Overheating can cause this, as
can bad ram or a faulty power supply. If unsure send it to a reputable
repair shop.
