Unexpected Accessing of Floppy

I re-installed an external floppy drive last night and now when I click
anywhere, such as in my windows explorer or desktop or even on Internet
Explorer online, it tries to access the external floppy first. This takes a
lot of time to set and wait for it to stop before I can continue my work.
Does anyone know how to correct this?

Clear the "recent documents'

start/run, type:

HH %windir%\Help\taskbar.chm::/win_start_showMRU_howto.htm
